Parks & Outdoor Recreation

It’s not hard to get outside and enjoy Knightdale. Visit the Knightdale Station Park, home to miles of paved walking trails, picnic areas, tennis courts and playing fields, a playground, a dog park, and even an amphitheater. You’ll find true natural beauty along scenic wooded trails in the Backyard Habitat of the Knightdale Environmental Park. Knightdale is also home to several smaller community parks, the Knightdale Pool, two community recreation centers, and the Mingo Creek Greenway, a 3.5 mile trail connecting to the 33-mile Neuse River Trail in Raleigh.

You don’t have to leave town to find all the shopping, dining, services, and business you need. Knightdale is home to several shopping districts offering retailers and restaurants both large and small. In the center of town, Midtown Commons offers local and chain restaurants, large department stores, and major retailers. Farther east, the Walmart shopping plaza is home to grocery stores, chain restaurants, and more retailers and services. Nearby Edgewater Place in Raleigh has plenty more options.
